Horseback riding
Rides along the shoulder of Arenal Volcano and down to Lake Arenal, and the long-standing horseback route over to Monteverde used before the jeep-boat-jeep shuttle existed. The Monteverde crossing takes most of a day on muddy, steep trails and isn't a casual outing for inexperienced riders.
